PS3 HDMI Problem

UPDATE: Issue fixed with recent firmware update.I've got the PS3 connected (via HDMI) to a Panasonic 42" plasma, model number TH-42PX500 (Japanese TV). The PS3 is set to output to 720p, which my TV can handle. When I launch a PS3 game, after the "Playstation 3" logo appears, the screen goes black. The game is loading fine, I just cant see it.The only way I can regain control of my TV at this point is to tune into the regular TV channels using my TV remote. Only then I can use the input selection button to get back to HDMI. Once I do this, I can see and play the game.My guess is that the PS3 is sending some kind of signal through the HDMI cable that is making the TV unhappy. The strange thing is, I tried a PS1 game and it worked fine.

ya 360 is good till games get too big for DVD. and don't bring up the HD-DVD addon because it will not play games just movies and Studios have announced that no new titles will be released on the HD DVD. but blue-ray will continue (ya blue-ray won).PS3-80GB-500$Xbox 360 Premium 20GB-350$ -120 GB Xbox 360-180$(about half that for a 120GB for PS3) -Wireless Network Adapter Xbox 360-90$ (PS3 comes with wireless.) -Xbox 360 HD DVD Player - 70$PS3- about 590$ (120GB HD.)360- adout 690$

Try unplugging and replugging the HDMI cable after it starts blinking. Low tech solution, but maybe you can play till Sony fixes it.
