thats just the social aspect of it, musically and performance wise It's a direct rip off of NIN, alice copper, ziggy stardust, and they all do it better with more artistic value. shit, without trent reznor there is no value to MM.... listen to you "read between the lines" you obviously read into and take his lyrics to heart which makes you a perfect example of why the fine line between identifying with music and being influenced by it can be troublesome to parent trying to raise a kid.

for MM saying callous things makes for provocative effect, and like MM you don't really mean what you're saying: your "record" would be short lived if you were talking to parents with a dead child. Back in the day there were lots of kids who fallowed this stuff and mutilated themselves ("cutters") in a similar fashion to MM. It can be an overdose of morbid disturbing imagery and concept. not for the faint of heart which is the very impressionable target demographic; sad angry teenagers. think.

Music is music, art is art. Religion is another thing entirely. Manson doesn't write music to convert anyone, or tell anyone what to do (like most religious pricks) he just tells it like it is. When you watch his videos, you have to read between the lines with Manson sometimes. There are a lot of hidden meanings. (And no, that doesn't mean subliminal messages). And for the record, anyone who commits suicide because of music probably deserved to die anyway. Just saying..
