At Custom PC we only run one PC labs test a year: the Dream PC competiton. Once every twelve months we challenge a select group of PC manufacturers to enter a very simple, but very demanding competition: build the best PC you can, money no object. This year, we imposed only two requirements on the four invited manufacturers: the systems had to be supplied with a monitor capable of displaying a 1,920 x 1,200 image; and they must have some form of Windows Vista installed (although Windows XP could be included too), so that we could try out the latest DirectX 10 games. This year, our four entrants - Dell, Gladiator, Scan and Vadim - submitted PCs toting 57.16GHz worth of CPUs, 15GB of RAM, 6.14GB of graphics RAM, 6.57TB of hard disk space and 4kW of power.Gladiator's Poseidon CPCQX6850 features all the latest components - two 1TB Hitachi Disks, 4GB of RAM, 64-bit Vista and two overclocked GeForce 8800 Ultras, and a water-cooling system with a huge tube reservoir.

I really agree maybe silver or black and throw in some led fans and some cold cathodes to give it a not to flashy, aggressive, kool look.

get a quad with 2.4 ghz because it splits the workload between 2 cores so 2 cores split by 2 equal 4 which is quad while 2 cores working in parallel wont help much because they will have a heavy workload. Go for the quad core processor because the only reason people market those ghz speeds are because they want you to buy that one. Faster doesnt make a difference in dual core technology as much as it did in single core technology like it did in the pentium series.

god fucking damn...2.15 terabytes. shiit. anyways i wanted to ask.what should i get.Intel core 2 QUAD x6600 (2.4 GHz) ORIntel Core 2 DUO (3.0 GHz)im confused between either getting a quad (with less ghz) OR a core 2 duo with MORE ghz. whats more important???? i cant afford quad core 2.6 or 3.0 ghz
