Shermans were the wrkhorse of the allies throughout the war They were cheap, verstile, expendable, and as strong as they had to be they were outgunned by the german, tiger, stug, panther, panzer, etc vut the sherman numbers. For those interested, the germans went crazy designing super heavy tanks at first they made tanks like the maus(About 2 times the size of a Tiger 1 and the biggest tank to ever be built)but then they designed 1000ton landkreuzer which would hav had 280mm naval guns fitted to it

I think I knew that they were used in Korea, but that sort of explains a lot IMO.

Shermans were used throughout Korea. Factually, the Shermans were used in greater numbers. Greater than the M-46 Patton.

The Shermans do look cool and all but they should've been made to easily battle german tanks. At least our forces used better tanks during the Korean War and latter wars such as the still Ongoing and Misguiged conflict in Iraq.
