btw, plenty of "obvious gags in the British shows we just listed. Doesn't make it more or less funny.

One, I know those are all brit sitcoms, I watch some on that list plus many more (you forgot coupling, spaced, not going out, Red Dwarf, Young ones, the Office, Absolutely fabulous, Are you being served and the Vicor of Dibly). Two, I am trying to figure out how what you just said has anything to do with my comment. I was simply responding to the idea that Americans didn't get British humor. Clearly some of us do, British humor is good, American humor is good, they are just different.

And if you base good humour as who has the most export, that's like saying Hollywood makes the best movies cuz it has the most international export exposure? daft! And comedy isn't restricted to situation comedy now is it? I think your stand ups rock, but then again so do ours! And For the record international Brit sitcoms? Fawlty Towers, Some Mothers Do 'ave em, The Good life, Little Britain, Upstairs Downstairs, Love thy neighbour, Desmond's, Peep Show, My Family, Mind your language....

You find men dressing up as women hilarious? Typical! Anyway there's only one show that that happens and that's Little Britain and I don't think that is funny at all, in fact I think it's racist and appeals to base toilet humour for laughs. Who says American humour is dry? Pick any US sitcom apart from a few and the laughs come from 'obvious humour'

um that was my point. doketbob said american's don't get it, I said someone did hence my point, being American has nothing to do with it. You should re-read my post.

please stop saying most, or some or even half. Cause a country of 300 million or more is alot when you say most. I got the jokes but i dont have to post a comment on how well it was. |
