once you go 44, you never go back. the proof is that you still see qbert using 44's at many shows and vids even though he has an endorsement from orto.

They do?! Even the M44-G? I had a set of Stanton AL-400s to start with and now have Shures and it sounded like the Stantons had torn up my records when I put the Shures on (until I set up the weight properly!). I heard that some carts don't pick up the freqs that they are doing damage to and you only notice later when you get better carts, my records sound good now but are Shures a good measure of that? Sorry to ask, you just worried me with your comment!!!
