what is so great about him, is that he can do two version of one song, an album version and an acoustic version and they'd both sound great.

I was at this show. Ben was excellent. This was also the first time I ever saw Johnathan Rice live. He was great. For some reason, however, he got much more respect than Dave Bazan. Idiots talked all through Bazan's set, at times to the degree that you could no longer hear the music. LESSON LEARNED: don't go to shows of well-known acoustic artists at Metro. The yuppie fans are meat-heads who only know good music from outlets such as the OC or Gossip Girl. They respect nothing else.

... have you ever even HEARD minus the bear? death cab and MtB are two of my favorite bands ever, but they're nowhere near in the same ballpark.

He is so seasoned by years of doing this. A true professional.

i've heard this version, the album cut and a cover on the piano; i think they're all good.
