j0eg0d, that control is exactly what this video is asking for. Community Counts let's us decide what questions are important/should be asked.

Although we were allowed to post videos to them, ultimately the media decides what to show. If WE are to ask our questions to the candidates then WE should have been the ones to pick the top videos.ABC was the extreme of that BS, but CNN did the same - just in a different way. Why couldn't YouTube have handled things the way KOS handled their own ? They presented REAL questions there.

It's easy to see why they would dodge YouTube vloggers ... People weren't courteous to a lot of the candidates that posted here.

It doesn't really matter which party favorite is the majority here - when the site itself is managed by the liberally-minded.The issue I have is being the middle ground between the rhetoric of liberal & conservative arguments.I'd like to unite people against government corruption, but it's nearly impossible to get loyalists to see the government as a whole and not a Democratic/Republican split.

The video is asking for something different. If we ask the questions and decide which ones to ask, there need be no media bias only a reflection of what the people want to know. For it to work, however, we need enough participation to reach a representative sampling. So spread the word.

I'm sorry, but when was the last time any dem was criticized as thoroughly on comedy central as any republican or libertarian? the whole debate debacle, whether on youtube or otherwise, has been nothing but a softball pander fest, the moderator selection has been even more of a joke, who's next for the repub debate, george souros? michael moore?

Thanks David. I tend to get too optomistic about things & when it fails to live up to my expectations it really depresses me & my usual optimism takes a nose dive, which is stupid of me. I need to learn to stop, take some deep breaths & just accept that things aren't going to be perfect! Plus I guess there is time for things to adjust a bit.Yeah, I'll look at that site. Thanks again!

Roger, the hostility you noticed is an artifact of the voting population and could easily change as anyone can vote. Many of those voting learned about the site during the Democratic debate. As for YouTube bias, a recent study found more Republicans than Dems on site. The amount of time spent on site, however, tipped to the Dems. Check out techPrsident for more.

I understand what they're afraid of. It's the same reason fewer Republicans go on the Daily Show or the Colbert Report: while Dems get just as much ribbing, they are more apt to either listen, or get the satire. Repubs bristle at satire and are less willing to be have their ego challenged as the "leader." |
