How about some wood for the smoky woodfired pizza taste? Did you throw a couple chunks of hickory in there?Kenny

hey MrHarris73, standard red clay bricks washed and dried. Solid or with holes will work although the holes allow more direct heat to the crust allowing the pizza to cook faster. Remember to get a super high heat under the bricks before adding the pizza and covering the grill. You may have to rotate the pizza for uniform heating. Keep an eye on the crust to get it the way you like it, and so it does not burn! -BBQ Pit Boys

looks good - 2 questions; 1) how do you prep the bricks (cleaning etc..) and 2) any particular bricks you need to use - I have some pavers left over from my landscaping project and they are solid with no holes. Do you need bricks with holes for better heat flow or will solid paver style bricks work.
