This is the in-studio produced gag reel for the wrap of the original Battlestar Galactica in 1979. See miffed takes, backstage shenanigans, and off-the-cuff profanity (bleeped of course). But beware, this is BOOTLEG in every sense of the word, meaning that this is a copy of a copy of a copy which I bought at a sci fi convention about ten years ago. The quality will vary (and a lot of the clips used were black and white in the first place). But this is the official BATTLESTAR.

There wasnt so much 70's after the haircuts. The pilot had a trio of disco divas but they were never seen again. The show has actually aged rather well. Compare it to other 70s shows such as SPACE 1999, which used disco music for its opening credits. :/ Even this show didnt do that.

This show was on when I was really little, so I grew up watching it in syndication. It was about the most boring time I spent in front of the TV. Better effects than the original Star Trek obviously, but there was that whole 70s style that I couldn't stand about it. Disco in space? [excuse me while I hurl]

Cobalt is both a mineral AND an element...just like Iron is both a (metallic) mineral and an element. I was using "mineral" as a synonym for "something you mine out of the ground, or which composes a component of various ores"

I stand corrected. I mistyped Cobalt. I thought it was Cobol. I'd never seen it written. Either way, I was wrong.Besides, a show that uses microns (an Earth distance measurement (1/10 of a millimeter)) as a measurement of time (on the Galactica ~1 second) and names characters after Greek Gods, etc. why would you think it's strange they named it Cobol (or Cobalt for that matter).P.S.Cobalt (Co) isn't a mineral. It's an element.
