AVG also shows if sites are safe or not, I question if it is accurate or not.... Because every site seems to be "safe".It records what I download and sends it to someone? or it just watches to make sure what I download does not have a virus on it?

No it does not require allot of recourses such as ram and cpu to run in the background and the best thing about it is that it scans your computer in the background as well as watch what sites have viruses on them and what you download too.

I have heard others talk about Avast, never actually tried it for my self, so I don't know how it compares to AVG. Might check it out some time, does it run in the background when your computer starts up? Does it require a lot of RAM or CPU to run Avast?

I have a better solution use Avast anti-virus it can delete the virus right away. AVG does suck compared to Alwil's Avast 4 Home Free Edition so go check it out.

I don't know about that, but Panda antivirus sucks. It thought an mpg was spyware, so it corrupted it. even if it was spyware, i'd need to change the file extesion for it to work.

That is not true, Free AVG is good...... you just have no clue how to use it if you say it sucks.

yes but i tried to update 6billion times but it failed all the time...Then yet again freebie AVG arent very good...

Yes some times there are viruses AVG can't delete right then, But if you wait for like 2-3 updates to come out it usually will have an update that can take care of it for you..... I just don't like wasting cash on some thing that is not very good....

if u want my reason here it is.LinkScanner said this site it clean when i downloaded a program it gave me trojans.I tried updating AVG it failed, all it did was put it in virus vault and program didnt go away.I installed norton (yes norton) and it got rid of it.Yes norton SOMETIMES doesnt detect files.
