He "ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still!" And pulled away to boot! To be fair, with a better trip in the Derby, he certainly would have been a Triple Crown winner. Sad that. Enjoy it. He was forced to make an early move. He was getting bumped and jostled. You don't know what that can do to a horse. How they'll react. In the other two he also saved a lot more ground in the first 3/4s of the race. 10 lengths was nothing for Alex to eat up going to the back. Then once he's clear kick the last gear in drive home. HARD. Alex made it physically impossible for anyone to catch him when Rose gave him the good ride.
