Ha, well a bit of patriotism wouldn't hurt. We should be more united as a nation, that's for sure.England needs to re-gain it's identity!

This should be the anthem of England for sure. What an unbelievable song, gives me shivers down my spine every time I hear it. I think we should sing it at school.Englands not as patriotic as the US or most countries to be exact. I don't understand why. We are such a great nation.<3 <3

Here here!To hell with the past!I'm an Englishman now, (a scouser for my sins) - and my great grandparents lived and suffered in Ireland at the time of the Black and tans and the formation of the IRA. It's not a grudge I like to hold. Let the past die eh - modern Britain's doing no harm to Ireland is it?

you irish seem to still not like us, we are a freindly country, we may have dont things in the empire not acceptable in todays standards but were then. in occasions like this we dont stop any flag. unlike in ireland where it is practically illegal to have a union jack. in that crowd there weere flags from every country in the world. it is more of a world occasion than a british one in many respects

Why would anyone object, amongst all those flags of different countries. Obviously a very tolerant gathering.
