Originally it was designated the "A4." This was later altered to V2 in allusion to it's being the seconds addition to publicly released venegance weapons. This can denote "type 2" or venegance type 2.cheers Pleasee subscribe

Yes, we could figure out how to create and weaponize nuclear fission/fusion, but not rocketry. Good call. Since rocketry is so difficult to figure out, I think I'll run to the toy store to buy a fully functional model atomic bomb.

It was a "Europe First" policy. The aggressors in Europe certainly included Germany, but Italy was an aggressor, too. So, the policy was to win the war in Europe, and then to put "all hands to the pumps" in the Pacific. The policy worked, and a million or more combatant and non-combatant lives were saved by employing against Japan that weapon which was actually developed for use against Germany: the Atomic Bomb.

The USA invaded Africa in 1943. The USA in the West, and the British were already in the East. Then they squashed the Germans between them and forced them out of Africa, in 1943. Then it was onto Italy...
