actually, the first roundabout was in paris, at the arc de triomphe.and about the little horsepower dispute, there is a difference between horesepower and brake horsepower. Brake horsepower is measured at the crank, whereas horsepower is measured at the wheels, so it is usually a bit lower, due to inefficiency of the drivetrain and things like air conditioning.

I love topgear , even the american bashing (and im an american) i hear alota truths in it. but to say american no nothing of TURNS' is simply NOT knowing american roads. Open google earth or maps and take a look for yourselves. aside from the Major Interstate roads WHich were made Primarily for trucks. Youl see our road are simular to europes EXCluding the face that American roads dont all lead to on point. OH and round-abouts were first created HERE! in NYC by a frenchman.

"But, on anything that has "turns" (a concept the americans can't understand)"-is that why the fastest two productions cars at the ring are american?(rolls eyes)

all manufacturers rate hp at the crank regardless of country of origin you dumbass

yo dude read what im saying. yes, the gtr is capable of 3.3 0 to 60 with a perfect launch as proven by various magazines. however, it has more hp than what nissan advertises, motortrend dynoed it and car and driver estimated about 520hp. also, 3.3 to 60 isnt very consistant, in car and drivers most recent test it went to 60 in 4.0 seconds while the z06 with the same driver did it in 3.8 seconds watch?v=1tnUlxANbWsz06 vs gtr watch?v=SYvLIeVIV9M

hahaha i live in the US and sad part is it is true....we do have no idea what turns are, and we think the more hp the better...but thats why i love my subaru..turns are to fun.

You cannot depend on a single car magazine. i bought Top Gear,Car,Autocar,Torque,Wheels, and even Japanese Performance. They tested the GT-R nomerous times, testing the Launch Control. The average 0-60 was 3.3seconds. Out of five times, four got 3.3seconds.

Also the GTR is only capable of 3.4 sec 0-60,the Z06 and 911 also match 3.4 sec 0-60.But 0-100 the GTR can only manage 8.6 sec while the Z06 is 8.0 sec and 911 a healthy 7.9sec

No you stupid americans the GTR has 480HP max at the wheel. It can have 5000000000HP at the crank it won't make a diffrence because power at the wheel is still 480HP. The power of all cars is measured at the wheel (except in america). The GTR accelerates slower than the 505BHP corvette Z06. But, on anything that has "turns" (a concept the americans can't understand) the GTR will leave the Z06 and 911 behind.By the way your GT 500 Mustang only has 424HP at the wheel.
