ok. wrong about Knicks. But you cant be a fan if you dont know that the Lakers franchise started in Detroit. I never said that they got their name from Detroit, I said EXACTLY what you said, that they got their name from MN. They were the Detroit Gems before the Lakers, way back in the '40s. I didnt make it up...

i'm pretty familiar with the LAKERS history and nowhere ihave i heard anything of them being in Detroit????u must of made that up urself,the LAKERS got their name from the the lakes in Minneapolis..
