this video is so great-- seeing them play creates more questions than it answers about how they put their songs together.if this is the kind of stuff that "trendy trustafarian poseurs" are doing in someone's world, then I want to live there.

i can respect that, julian. i feel that way about some of Sonic Youth's stuff.

That's why I like it. Because it's so painfully naive to any sort of adherence to conventional music theory... So free and possibly idiotic. It's fun to watch.

i agree, sheLovesG, this is terrible. i like some weird things, but this is not good. oh well, you take the good with the bad.

Are we hearing the same thing ?Music by and for the tone deaf. Besides, doesn't some of that 54 era "garbage" holds up pretty well compared to the pop crap of today, Britney, boy bands etc.Ever heard of Nile Rodgers ? Sly & Robbie ? Debbie Harry ? Grace Jones? I'm not saying it has to be top forty to be good, but a little more knowledge of music theory and practice would have gone a long way here. BTW, I only listened to this tuneless crap once. That's all I could take.

I'm sorry, perhaps you shouldn't watch this if you feel so strongly about posting a negative comment. Your direction on critique is from the absolutely wrong direction. This music was an answer to the garbage being shafted through the mass media and Studidoze 54 at the time...when in your finite memory has a song such as Blonde Redhead been done? Please share. I will forever respect you if you can answer this without cussing.

Hurrah! was it in case all you kids DON'T KNOW. The only club other than The Mudd that mattered or ever WILL. Now New York has been DEAD for 15 years. Trust fund kids and greedy millionaires have KILLED the only music scene that EVER mattered. NO NEW YORK.Long live the 80's & FUCKIN' DNA.

No, I'm sorry.I don't have a band, maybe I'm not even a musician, besides what does that have to do with anything ? Anyway, everything I said is still true. These guys completely suck ! I'll be sure to let you know when if my next single is released.
