thanks for the insightim starting up as a dj (16 doing small parties and hopefully some dances in the future) and i was wondering if i could hook up a mixer to virtual dj minus the tables since i dont have any money for those yet. Also, i was wondering what features on virtual dj get disabled while using the mixer. And example im wondering about is the crossfade on the bass. Thanks ^_^

There is a better more portable way running Virtual DJ....using Acer Aspire One 9" mini laptop .... 2x/EKS XP5 and a mixer...I have to disagree with Socross using a small control jog wheel....U need a professional Midi controller for each side.

hey socross, i see that you have a DXM09 which from what i remember is not a midi/usb mixer.. how are you able to control VDJs cross fader with the mixer?

It's in the mixer - although pioneer has it too, it's just called echo.
askins123 (December 31, 1969 at 5:59 pm)
is the tapeecho built into virtual dj or the mixer?

Amazing video. You answered about 80% of the questions I had about Virtual DJ.
