What generation is that? 1870's gilded age? Yeah, you guys have to knock off this crap about gold or silver and just love one another!

Besides being drop dead gorgeous, Michelle Phillips was also VERY under rated as a vocalist. Listen to her doing the intro in "Dedicated To The One I Love"...incredible!

I saw Denny Doherty's show "Dream A Little Dream" several years back. He absolutely sang the hell out of this song during the show.

John Phillips was one of the best songwriters around.

According to both Denny, John, and Paul McCartney himself, what Paul told the group (regarding the false start) was "That has to be a mistake: nobody's that clever," he told them.

0x1, yes, it's Michelle in the video. You're right that this song was done after John/Denny/and Cass kicked Michelle out of the group in June 1966, and brought in Jill Gibson to replace her for a tour and most of the album this song appears on. Michelle was allowed back in the group in time to add vocals to two of the songs on the album, this being one of those songs. This song is about Michelle and Denny's affair, which caused the tension in the group which got Michelle kicked out.
