I think that is how the piano is supposed to be. It sounds like the orchestra accompaniment, only one instrument. Also, the soloists are taking their time in a few places, slowing down and speeding up for different sections. That might be part of what you are hearing. I think the pianist did a good job of accompanying. Patrick wanted to speed up and pianist followed. I'm not a pianist, but I am a musician. You follow the soloist, no matter what they do.

Gosh....Those two are truly amazing.I am such a huge fan of the Phantom of the Opera.It is such a beautiful masterpiece.What a great job the actors/singers did :]

lol is the tempo of the piano suppose to fluctuate like that while their singing? it sounds like he is seeding them up to much lol
