Many dancers have done hops on pointe since then. If you watch the movie about the leading men in ABT, there is a clip of a ballerina doing them.

They're actually fouette turns, a different form of spin.She looks fine, but even so, a little posture issue is forgivable. Though I'm not a ballerina, my sister is, and she can confirm that those turns (she does 32, I think), are incredibly dizzying.

her posture is fine.... and just so you know... when she did this pas de deux, she was blind... just as she is now.

From what I've heard, no one's been able to do the backwards hops in over 80 years; she was the only one to be able to do them no one else can! Isn't that amazing? If anyone figures out how, please mail me promptly! ^^
