That's why I said as an album on its own, it's great, for reasons that you said. However, BSSM is better as an RHCP album. (Actually, THE best.) Also, I feel that more hits came from BSSM, although that can be debatable.

dude blood sugar sex magic is good but it only has like a few REALLY good songs or hits. this album has way more hits and the music is better quality. less hard drums and less funk guitar but better melodies and MUCH better singing.

Why thank you. I personally feel that By The Way is one of their worst albums, though. As an album on its own, it's great, but for a Red Hot Chili Pepper album, it's just...ugh. |
