Julia Covington and Karen Carpenter are two of the better version of this song. Paloma San Basilio version in Spanish "No LLores Por Mi Argentina" is the best. The intensity, the impact, the passion its all there. I cried when Paloma cried for Argentina.

I love Karen Carpenter, she is a much better singer than Julie Covington, but still this version lacks something compared to the Julie Covington version.
