Reply to KosmicJanis, I live on the East Coast so never saw this band in person, but was a big fan during my college years. This band was a collection of people at that time and place in an extraordinary era. Janis had been unsuccessful in the San Farncisco scene earlier and you can see how thrilled she was to be part of BBHC. Especially in Cot2, she is exploding with excitement when Gurley launched into his breaks. Gurley's playing was powerful enough to complement Janis, on record anyway.

This is a lesson in why live performance beats any kind of studio/tv effort hands down. Fucking amazing. (I flipped from a TV renditon of one of her tracks, which was good but this is amazing.)
