David Frieberg,Bootsy,James Jamerson,Percy Jones,Jaco,Alphonso Johnson,Felix Papperlardi,Stu Hamm,Jack Bruce,Leo Lyons,Jim Fox,Miroslav,Egan,Tal,Clarke,Danny Trifan, and so many more...just a treasure trove of bottom enders & yea in the 3 man band day the bassman had 2 step up to the plate all the while bein a solid anchor.Lead Guitar is decoration while the bass & drums drive the music.

It wasn't every three-piece band that could rock in the old days. The bassist had to be great in order to help carry the band. Grand Funk (with Mel Schacher),Cream (Jack Bruce)were 2 other rockin' bands.

One of the best bassist out there. I love his attack on the strings and his twangy sound which influenced Geddy Lee and Chris Squire.

It's his own design ,space the manufacturer but is a Buzzard,his last custom made one was for sale at MF.He never picked it up.He is why I play bass.
