yes. guitarists often do that when they want to be able to make a quick transition from fingerpicking to using a flatpick.

I was in a really horrible car accident 2 years ago and on my ride to the hospital in the ambulance I remember hearing this song playing. I don't know if the driver was listening to this or perhaps I imagined it..either way that is something that sticks with me every time I hear this song. I saw him in concert a few weeks back and he did this song...it is such a powerful song and so very true. John's talent is truly a gift.

John definitely knows how to sing and play that guitar but his political views are fuckin wacked out. He needs to stick to music because that's all he knows.

not to mention the chords are absolutely different. hey there delilah is a good song, but its just a walk on two chords most of the time. this is all over the neck, way more complex
