Can't we all just ignore the message and appreciate the cute joke? It's not like it's going to change any minds, anyway.

Also, regardless of whether or not you think studios should, change their business model (which they should and will have to) this is just pointing out the very real situation that studios are facing right now -- and it does so without moralizing it or chastising. I think it does a good job in what it's supposed to do.

I think it does a good job of not finger pointing or preaching. Instead it just points out the very real fact that sooner or later, if people stop paying studios for the movies they make, they probably won't be able to make them in the way that they do anymore. The video isn't really an indictment of anyone.

Take a look at "The Effect of File Sharing on Record Sales: An Empirical Analysis" in the Journal of Political Economy and you'll see what I mean...

The industry should really stop whining about piracy when there's conflicting studies as to whether or not piracy hurts/helps them or loses sales at all. There is no conclusive link to "piracy == lost sales". They base their whole argument on this fallacy. Instead they should grow a pair and learn to deal with a new medium of exchange and embrace it and adapt their business model to it in order to take advantage of it.

EXACTLY. This is complete BS. Learn to adapt to the market instead of whining

As a fellow UF undergrad, I apologize for the lack of intelligence displayed in this video.

UF undergrad here. I'm disappointed in my fellow students for the very obvious flaw in their logic. Pirating films is in no way like picking apart a cake; it's more like making unauthorized copies of the cake, which in no way makes the original cake any less edible or appealing. Nothing disappears when a person pirates a creative work except for perhaps profits, and even that is debatable.Try harder next time, guys!

Wait, copyright infringement=stealing? News to me.Seriously, i think this video is clever and well acted, but calling piracy stealing is, legally speaking, wrong. Illegal yes, stealing no. Great video though, well done.
