I dont think shes necessarily talking about the whole political aspect of those times. She is talking about the freeness of being like a hippy. 69= woodstock to me. So i think she is just talking about the free will that people had back then. "Hippies" didnt care about anything except spirituality and music..... and dropping acid.

I think that's the point. I agree with you, I'd much rather live here and now. But maybe some people get tired of being so far away from both everything they complain about and everything they celebrate.

Go back to the 60s? really? When our President and his brother were assassinated, our sons were dying in a controversial war and peoples' basic civil rights were being violated and MLK was assassinated as well. Not to mention nearly being nuked by Russia. It was one of the most turbulant decades in US history. I think we've progressed a long way since then; I wouldn't wanna go back.
