You're very right, and thank you for teaching some of these non-experienced" people about naval gunfire! The Hermann Goering Panzer Division (look up on Wikipedia) was decimated by American gunfire when they made the mistake of being TOO CLOSE to the beaches in the Italy landings in 1943, 15&16 inch naval gunfire cost them most of their strength and they had to be re-formed and re-fitted!!

yes boggy17 a Tiger or anyother tank will blow up when hit with naval gunfire...some of those tanks where taken out from 15&16 inch naval guns...even at Normandy US ships where grounding themselves to bear their guns on german armour units..and I agree the Sherman was no match for any german tank..just that the Us could (did) produce 55,000 of them..

abrUms? Never heard of that one^^Nevertheless, IMHO the Leo2 Version A5 or A6 is unrivalled at the moment.BTW: the M1 had the 105mm piece of shit gun. Replaced in the M1A1 with the 120mm Rheinmetall Kill-them-All cannon. And yes, thats the Leos cannon originally^^BTW²: Both tanks prototypes / predecessor was the Panzer70 / MBT Project between USA and Western Germany. They cancelled the project and developed on their own - the Leo and the M1... Thats why the M1 was so radically new to the M60

leo2 = better armour, communication, more reliable and easy to reapair. it also consume a lot less fuel. but they have never been fighting each other and a skilled crew important.
