A panaszok a koponyában kialakuló nyomásfokozódás miatt alakulnak ki.A kiváltó ok ismeretlen, de feltételezhetők öröklődési és környezeti tényezők a betegség kialakulásában. A betegség panaszai jelentkezhetnek már újszülött korban, amikor az elváltozás miatt vízfejűség alakulhat ki. A gyermek sírása gyengébb, nehezen vesz levegőt; végtagmozgási rendellenességek, bénulások lépnek fel nála. A serdülőkorban jelentkező tünetek általában a visszatérő fejfájás, a nyaki fájdalom és az izommerevség. A panaszok gyakran jelentkeznek együtt a gerinccsatorna záródási rendellenességekkel.Arnold-Chiari Malformation:Arnold-Chiari malformation, sometimes referred to as Chiari II malformation or ACM, is a congenital malformation of the brain.Arnold-Chiari Malformation (Chiari II malformation) occurs in almost all children born with both spina bifida and hydrocephalus. The Austrian pathologist Hans Chiari in the late 1800s described seemingly related anomalies of the hindbrain, the so called Chiari malformations I, II and III. Later, other investigators added a fourth (Chiari IV) malformation. The scale of severity is rated I - IV, with IV being the most severe.Chiari is often associated with major headaches, sometimes mistaken as migraines. Chiari headaches usually include intense throbbing in the back of the head. Chiari also includes extreme muscle soreness and low energy levels. It also can cause a hoarseness in the voice.

i have arnold kiari too but i have never needed surgery haha sorry about that.

At my girlfriend two years ago a good italian medic was diagnosed the arnold chiari malformation,in italy there'isnt a clinic to operate or a medic he wont to operate my girlfriend...I love it soo much... I Have Chiari also. I've had two surgeries and none of them have helped. Good Luck with your Chiari!! |
