In the near future, the Catholic church has joined with other western religions in an ecumenical movement that has washed out much of the original message of the religion. A group of Irish monks have begun saying the mass again in Latin and have begun to have an international following. Martin Sheen is sent from Rome to bring them to task and they must confront what is truly essential in their worship and what is not."

if u do not let Christ into your hart, no church or priest can save u, the church of rome claims that the pope is like God on earth, they break one of the ten commandments.there is a wise saying: do not do what the priest does, but what he tells u to do. this means that a priest can be a bigger sinner than u.

There is no salvation outside the Church of Rome.

LOL This movie is ironic because the unexpected truth is that the Roman Catholic Church wants others to join with it, and as a result, those other groups have been polluted by the heresies of the Papacy.

the movie title is "Catholics" film was released in 1973, and my joy is complete in knowing that history since this release, has turned it's underlying proposition on it's head! the Traditional Latin Mass: the Mass for all Ages! Viva Jesus Christo Rey!!!

This is a cool movie, but the parts are out of order! The ending is pretty sad too!
