Not true man. Sure its part of the tuning and the new DPF's and what not, but a modern diesel now-a-days' with a DPF running down a road without a turbo (so no boost) would smoke black. Black smoke in a diesel is essentially running rich, the black is actually fuel. You need the turbo (s) for the added air (in the form of boost) so that the air fuel mixture doesnt go to rich hence black smoke. FYI running a diesel rich doesnt hurt it, it just causes high EGT's. Running lean means less power.

Umm Diesels have been using Turbos for quite a long time now, really isn't anything new. The turbo doesn't remove the black smoke, thats all in the engine tune with the black smoke, to remove the black smoke a lot of diesels now have to come with a "Particulate Filter"

What So Unik About Turbo. Now All SUV Using Diesel Now Using Standard Turbo. Now All Japanese SUV Using Diesel Now Using Turbo Remove Black Smoke Give Power Diesel Power Engine. Some Country All Diesel Truck Must Use Turbo To Remove Black Smoke And Extra Power To A Truck
