O_oYou, my friend, are both my hero and the object of my burning jealousy. Now I KNOW my controller's gone to hell. (I recall getting past the cannot at 2:36 being so much easier, but when I last played, try as I might, I kept crashing into it like there was some sort of tractor beam....)On "Baby" mode. I think manic shmups ruined me... But i aspire to get back to "Human" mode, and get up to true R-Typer!Because seriously, man, I want to rock, too. :D

R-Type Command is not at all the same as the shmup series. It is a strategy hex-based game. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't get it. I recommend it as very high. The game has very extreme details and can be addicting. And you might even be intrigued by the story, it is very deep. Irem really did the game well, they knew their stuff.

This game is immensely fun to watch someone own at! I remember playing this at my cousin's house. What a fun game. Anyone know if R-Type Commander will be any good? I have a PSP and I'd love to own one of these games!

The charge time is dependant on the skill level, and on at least one of them it's the same as charging seven loops of Giga. Also, the Giga Wave Cannon's text says it's referred to as the 'final wave cannon.'
