so i guess it all really depends on whether or not you have sub par thinking or not to be able to understand exactly what most MC's are talking about. music and music criticism is subjective.so you can't really make a decision on what musical genre's "suck" or not. but there are definitely rappers and mc's that aren't as talented as others.

i think it all depends on how you categorize rap music. rap is all about lyricism and meaning. rap music today lacks both of those traits. i would have to half agree with you, rap CURRENTLY does suck. but that's only really the mainstream radio played garbage. to really appreciate rap/hip hop music you have to search for it. much of rap and hip hop tells a story or teaches a lesson. much like marilyn manson does through his lyrics. most people don't really appreciate lyricism in music though.
