thats exactly why i got edrums , the problem with balancing and miccing up kits are expensive and alot of the time bands get it done wrong... and the drums end up being the loudest thing and cause the rest of the bands instruments to drown or...everything is cranked up to full volume and distorts.

For the effects i left pretty much everything as-is. However I cranked up the sentsitivity on the snare and bass drum. I had to raise the cancel on the snare so it doesn't overreact.Sensitivity makes a huge difference depending on how you play.

Hmmm... I don't know, man. How long has it been since you've touched one? Early 90's I wouldve agreed with you, but nowadays they've evolved a lot. Much more sensitive and actually LESS tolerant to mistakes than an accoustic kit. While I'll admit it's not the real thing, it's really not that bad, man. Plus, the sound is actually really nice, and you don't have to mic the damn drum (decent mics ~500$) to get a studio-like noise-free crisp and clear sound. Just plug er' in!

Gah! I can't stand electronic sets, you just don't get a good feel out of them and everything sounds so garbage.
