erm road rash etc games that aloww you to speed up gaming a little then granny slow games like mario cart, man some games where awfull due the slowness of a snes, the games on genesis like shinobi Tf4 where in your face and except for the graphics just where superior, soundwise animationwise all the busyness possible in game, gunstar was even up par with metal slugg in the animation era even a better game if you ask me.The battle is like tallice vs megadeth its obvious megadeth is better.

Nintendo has always had classics like Zelda, Mario Brothers and Metroid, and put more emphasis on making gamnes fun, instead of trying to push technology with shallow gameplay and depth like Sega did.

Nintendo was lucky that Capcom made Street Fighter 2.That was a perfect game for the SNES which excelled at displaying large detailed, but not numerous, sprites onscreen. The SNES was underpowerd for what it had to display, although it had twice the internal memory and could do more in one clock cycle. But since Street Fighter 2 was dong so well at the arcades, when it came out first to SNES it skyrocketed Nintendo to the forefront, although the Mortal Kombat blood issue slowed them down

I grew up in the 16-bit era as well (well and the 8 bit era) and I loved a good deal of the games in that era. Super metroid, Sonic, Super Mario World, the final fantasy's the list goes on all are really great games and still are today.

Wow, didn't realize there was a clear winner to the war. Nice examples on how the SNES had better games as well.

The Amiga and PC Engine/TurboGrafx-16 were the better 16bit systems IMO due their better games selection and having the games first.
