I love gretschs,but honestly,most of them play like an acoustic,they have good intonation,but the have high action,theyre hard to bend,but their solid bodies are easy to play.Ive played Gretsch hollow bodies,and I can see how that would limit John based on how he solos high on the neck.Gretschs are great,but Fenders are the best.Bar none.Dont try to tell me different.Look at all the amazing Fender players,Hendrix,SRV,EVH,Clapton,Yngwie,Johnson,Mayer,Scotty anderson.....Theyre just that good.

As much as I miss the White Falcon, you can really hear how much better the solos in Californication have gotten. It's almost like Frusciante was limited with what he could do with the Gretsch.

Satriani has tons of emotion for SHREDDING. its still nothing compared to the others i said, but theres more emotion in there than most of the worlds shredders combined.

slash is a great guitarist. he has tons of emotion in his playing also. just listen 2 the solos in civil war, november rain, and sweet child o'mine. those are just a few.

satch? are u talking about joe satriani? please don't even compare frusciante, van halen or slash to him, you're insulting all those guys by saying that there is emotion in satriani's music, there are no emotions and no feelings at all in his songs! the peppers' make me shiver, van halen's music is a blessing, but satriani makes me sick... |
