Just to clarify I mean Half Life 2 and Half Life 1 are different.

Unlike Half Life 1 where you have to set a max fps, otherwise if your machine is fast it will be unplayable, since it goes ultra fast. So now that i educated your ass you can apologize.

LegendaryGeneralC you are dumb, when you overclock your cpu, gpu, etc. Your games DO RUN/RENDER FASTER, but it happens to be that pc games have different methods to stay constant at game speed, like playing half life 2 at 180fps wont make you play it 3 times faster, it's "clock" is based on the monitor refresh rate, Mario Kart DS happens to go at 30 fps and the "clock" for it happens to be the CPU speed, so if you make the CPU go faster, the "clock" goes faster and therefore the game does.

Overclocking can speed up and slow down a game, anyone who had a 386 and went to a Pentium and ran games like OMF2097 or Tie vs X-Wing knows what I'm talking about. Those games would run twice as fast on the Pentium machine, OMF had a way to slow it down but since the DS isn't designed to be overclocked and the software can't make up for the faster cycles thus your DS games will run faster. If you look up modding the DS it talks about it.

fake ass shit right there

at these low speeds, you dont need cooling.
chrischoy9 (September 1, 2008 at 6:56 am)
It only speeds up the speed for doing things as in programes. Anyway such little speakers with bass? If you overclocked the memory and motherboard you could, but it will just die!. Overclock with no cooling? I don't think its true.

No. Just no. When I overclock my CPU, GPU, or RAM sound and movement in games don't start speeding up. It simply allows, the CPU to do more calculations within an amount of time.Think about it, will you? Would a 3GHz Core 2 Duo play music faster then a 2GHz one? No. And that's not my only reasoning, overclocking it simply wouldn't do this. The creator of the video has been tricked into thinking that this mod overclocks the DS, or he is trying to trick you and succeeding.Go Wikipedia it. |
