Amazing there're still people closed-minded enough to deny evolution. The evidence is so overwhelming, and mounts up every year.In most countries the science vs creationism debate isn't even a debate, people just accept the truth.

couldn't be more wrong...microbiologists have shown that removing significant parts of the flagellum doesn't impact its function. when they remove enough parts, it stiffens into a sex pilus showing how it evolved from more rudimentary structures. saying that those analogies still hold is like closing your eyes and covering your ears just so you can still say there is no evidence.

Which is exactly why creationism (whether its repackaged as "creation science" or "I.D.") has absolutely no place in a science classroom.

thats the whole reson in creationism, its not scientific, its all about faith, people have faith, and thats all that counts,

i love how people who believe in the bible choose what the bible means to them instead of taking it for what it says.

"James Ussher"Apparently early Christian theologians saw the creation myth as an allegory it's only in later times that it was read literally.

There's a controversy for everything. Except sometimes one side is just plain wrong.
bootsielon (April 29, 2008 at 5:43 am)
Why is there controversy with AIDS? I hate conspiracy theorists...
DeadFishFactory (April 28, 2008 at 11:32 pm)
No. It's written nowhere in the bible. The timeline was created by some guy that I forgot who just added up all the begats and came up with that figure. It also doesn't say that God created the world and whatever in 24-hour days. That's what those crazy-ass YECs want you to believe.
TheStarlessSky (April 27, 2008 at 2:39 pm)
Oh... Ok. I thought that Christians thought that those days were not really "24 hours", since the sun or light wasn't supposed to have been created yet. Is it actually written in the Bible that it was 6000 years ago anyway? |
