My opinion from the very day it happened is that NASA thought the shuttle was mortally wounded and no way a rescue flight could be done in time. This explains why NASA conducted no inspection of the spacecraft in orbit. Imagine the horror of making public the news that in space there are 7 doomed astronauts and no way to save them. The incredible worldwide pressure to save them. So NASA had over two weeks to prepare and polish their cover story.

It's a shame that both Columbia and the Challenger disaster were caused not by crew mistake or any other factors but by NASA's bureaucratic management. Funny how it's always the people who sit in the office sending great people to die.

I saw this as it happened on the NASA channel from a friend's house. How sad! We were just stunned! :( RIP.

4:25-4:41. Were those the actual sounds...what microscropically little could be discerned...of the disintegration of the spacecraft? Haunting.

Wait... what?

Safety First:Needs to use Rocket engine vibration sound reducer(noise stealth)I will explain.;If Jets and space rockets:Use magnet gears in the front core of the engine that are levitational gears no friction just magnet force to move the gears into place.Allowing for engine turn thrust motion. And the computer graphing design controls the pitch of the thrust of all the nonfriction magnetic gear's motion.

I never said it was too dangerous, I said the mission would have been dangerous but Nasa would have done it IF they had seriously considered that the shuttle was damaged. I never said that I wouldn't have launched a rescue mission or try to save them. You are the one who thinks that for a space shuttle to launch all jump aboard and flip some switches.

No dude... no matter what I say you're going to have an argument, even though it's obvious to anyone who knows what happened you're talking out your ass and are arguing for the sake of arguing because you can't admit you might just be wrong. And the reason I'm throwing insults is because of your constant insistance that trying to save their lives was too dangerous and the implication that letting them die was the better option. You're a waste and someone should kick your rents in their heads. |
