not dissin him at all. And they never fired syd as ive posted on another clip, what happened was they accidentally forgot to pick syd up for a gig one night not long after dave had joined and the gig went well. Now syd had started to show signs of losing the plot so they basically continued to forget when dave knew all of syd's riffs etc. And syd never knew any better because of his mental state. True story, heard it from an interview with either waters or mason.

DON'T DIS SYD BARRETT! he only made one album, but he kinda inspired the entire pink floyd style. An also as far as i know they didn't fire him, he kinda went crazy and left...

put it this way syd made only one album with floyd, out of about in the region of 12.Piper at the gates of dawn was syd's only album basically. With some of his songs makin the album relics and ummagumma though dave was playin when ummagumma was released.
