Alive was written due to Eddie real father died of MS, but his mother never told him about his real father. Eddie's mother got remarried to a lawyer and Eddie always thought that was his real father, Eddie stated that the Lawyer father always treated eddie and his sister different from his 2 other brothers, which came from the the mother and the lawyer father. Eddie mother came clean and told him about his real father. The mother is divorced.
