Because some people are idiots and don't understand that Wikipedia actually has standards, and if people decide to put in a bullshit statistic, people will research it, prove it false, and delete it.

True to an extent, but if we were all one culture we wouldn't have the great variations in music style.The Smiths are different though. They are all of Irish decent, but their music is very English. No links to the traditions of Irish music at all.
