This is the first of a series of Britpop reels I'm doing. Each one will have ten artists in it. Radiohead are one of the most depressing bands to ever come out of any country! Stone Roses aint Britpop mate, like people have said they were before that, late 80's. Hacienda, Madchester etc etc

A lot of misunderstanding here. The Stone Roses are not Britpop...Hacienda anyone? Radiohead aren't either; they are genuine musicians. Manics are of course not Britpop. That's the funniest suggestion I've heard in a while. Basically the only two serious musicians to have emerged from that white, middle class, male movement are Damon Albarn (Coxon was holding him back with his middle class whinging) and Jarvis Cocker (though he'd been around before the early ninetees). The rest was forgettable.
