Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote

Using the infrared camera in the Wii remote and a head mounted sensor bar (two IR LEDs), you can accurately track the location of your head and render view dependent images on the screen. This effectively transforms your display into a portal to a virtual environment. The display properly reacts to head and body movement as if it were a real window creating a realistic illusion of depth and space. By Johnny Chung Lee, Carnegie Mellon University. It's called trackIR, and as it turns out, you can't do that much with it. Cool video, though.

My Lord Johnny Lee, You are a God amongst men! My mind is literally boggled at what you've done. As a small child I dreamt one day a hero would come along and grace the gaming world with such wisdom and power. YOU, Johnny Lee, are that man.... You are, the ONE!

Guys, I did this a few minutes ago but the 3D effect was'n that good. I don't know but could it be because of my small lcd monitor? Is there an homebrew software for this which works on the Wii?
