I have one of these and they do blow LCDs out of the water in contrast also a good investment there is only three parts that can actually fail in them all easy to replace.Though I wish they put the VGA connector on the side as well.Though one also can hook a PC to the HDMI using a DVI to HDMI cable but get a short HDMI male to female cable so you don't risk breaking the HDMI port in the TV if you plan on connecting and disconnecting stuff often.

Not sure what your talking about thus is a TV for the American market theyre TV scan resolutions are lower than the UK so they start down at 480 where ours start at 576 so the first step to HD 720p isnt much of a jump to UK'ers but it is to the Americans, thats the difference hence all the fuss about 1080p.
