That's not entirely true, supasomething. When you're a student, and you've gotta switch classes, waiting for windows to shut down is seriously annoying! Either cuz it freezes up, or it's installing update 3 of 17, you have to wait. And if you do hold the power button for your 3 seconds, oh you better believe you're paying for that once you want to turn it on again.

Just one small detail I'd like to pick on here. A few posers or artists? Really? Because it seems to me that whenever I see a computer anywhere at all in movies, tv, etc., it's a mac. Also, Steve Ballmer.Your q, whatever, somethingsomething, blows away all macs at doing... What exactly? Does it mach the Mac Pro's startup speed? Great start!

My q6600 @ 3.6Ghz and 8GB blows anyway ANY mac on sale today and It cost me less then price of the cheapest mac to build.Windows is open and I can choose the components and OS on a pc ( I have ubuntu & vista) Open platform is windows biggest strength and weakness but because its open it will always have apple lagging behind it, true some posers or artists may buy a mac but it doesnt change the world.

lol comparing bootup times is gay.... it doesnt matter how long it takes to bootup, thats only like 30 seconds different.... once, your up, your up! most of the time your computer will already be up. and your pc... TAKE OFF THE EXTRA CRAP APPS!!! itll load in 30 sec. and shutdown time?!?!!! wow... IT DOESNT MATTER! when u shut down ur comp.... u walk away. you dont care. and if you want it to shutdown faster, hold down the power button for 3 seconds. poof shutdown.

what i would LOVE to see is mac vs PC, with mac running Itunes, and pc running winamp, itunes unfortunately hogs a lot of system resources on a pc making load times and play time on it almost painful (for myself anyway) while winamp has similar functionality with some extra feautures (and i LOVE winamp's visualization and the fact that you can set the visualizer to be your windows background)
