The test was done on version 1.5 and IE 6. I'm referring to load speeds not download speeds.

We should compair sources. I would say the 'speed' of a browser depends on many things. I've found that IE locks down a webpage until its partically downloaded, while firefox allows me to scroll the page sooner than IE. as for speed, this could mean many many things. IE and Firefox keep changing and evolving...

I use firefox more now. It's easy to customize and most websites are compatible with it now.

No its not. In numerous streamlined speed tests, IE comes out well over 1 ms ahead of firefox and uses less Resources as well. IE still sucks, but to say firefox is faster is a lie.
