Presenting his personal encounter with mind parasites was the visionary artist Alex Grey who joined the show for a half-hour. During a group LSD experience in the 1970's, he vividly saw beings from above feasting on their energy. The beings, he believed, were actually orchestrating chaotic behavior from the group. The incident led Grey to see humans as part of "an energetic food chain."August 14th, 2006 http://www.alexgrey.com/ http://www.coasttocoastam.com/...

A vast number of people experience life-changing positive and even 'spiritual' experiences from entheogens. If you haven't figured this out yet, you've really got your head up your ass.

He isn't claiming any authority to do so. You are the only one who can decide whether you should take entheogens and you are the only one responsible for what you learn or don't learn from those experiences. What makes Alex unique, obviously, is his unmatched ability to visualize, create and express these visions better than almost anyone I know of. The proof is right in front of your eyes. The art speaks for itself. That's why he is being interviewed and you are not.

contd of lsd + similar stuff...yet i wouldnt dare bore anybody with what is common for 99% of people in the same position having halucinations..looking back the whole episode was a waste of time and nothing was gained spiritually or in any other way..and i was lucky to escape the experiences without any long-term damage being done...such is the folly of youth {and good rock music}

and what authority is grey to differentiate between "stable" people who take lsd and people not so "stable"...wotever that means...he speaks like hes a behavioural psychologist, yet he is no such thing..so he had hallucinations,which is common when taking hallucinogenics,and nothing profound or mind-blowingly revealing should be construed..i cant see him as any different from anyone else who took lsd and had hallucinations..i could write a book on what i saw and felt whilst under the effects

exactly...unless one enters death with full awareness of the dangers at hand, and has been fully instructed by plant allies in other worldy states, one can be devoured by these "ghosts" or "demons"--absorbed by their larger, more powerful energy--But they are slow, and earthbound, and a swift traveler can bypass them, fight them off even, and attain reincarnation, nirvana, or whatever one desires...

pure genius. Truly, it is amazing that such a being exists to give us such extraordinary images.

This is too self-fulfilling to me...It doesn´t have to be so complicated and evolving and time-wasting..give love and the rest will come by itself..

I agree. How about a manifesto?
