yes of course ur right but the bible isn't a book about fact!every story meaning take adam and eve 4 example adam represents dust meaning that no matter how strong we all turn to dust !!eve represents life {pregnancy}the garden represents perfection thesnake represents the bad in the world and the tree represents something but i 4got damn it i was going well there need to fresh up on studying lol!!the story of adam and eve was written aroun 500-600 b.c or a.d oh ohhh!!which one!!????

The Bible is a book of symbolism...It is not meant to be taken literally...You are meant to read the stories and apply the values to your everyday life...Christianity would be an amazing religion if not so many sociopaths were Christians...HEAVEN AND HELL ARE MEARLY SYMBOLS FOR KARMA OR WHATEVER WORD YOU WANT TO USE FOR IT...THE BIBLE IS COMPLETELY RIGHT IN THE VALUE SYSTEM IT PORTREYS...IF EVERYONE WOULD JUST TAKE IT WITH A GRAIN OF SALT THE WORLD WOULD BE A MUCH BETTER PLACE

Its comedy?People need to stop getting so wound up over religion. Sure if you want to believe it, and although i disagree with it, ill respect others beliefs. But if Ricky Gervais wants to make fun out of it, and yes, its 'Comedy' why not? Saying its Criticising religion is a misconception, its not like he wrote this sketch *just* to get at christians. Its like getting offended over something for the sake of getting offended.

This isn't criticism this is making a fool out of people. There ar eplenty of religeous critics out there who know what they're talking about and actua;lly have good points, reading a passage from a book that is important to alot of people and then laughing at it isn't criticism, it's arrogant and rude.

This is really disrespectful, even if he doesn't believe it, he still shouldn't mock it. Everyone has the basic right to have their own religeon without being ridiculed for it. People should respect other peoples beleifs even if they disagree with them.
